I have shared the benefits of link building and how to determine the link value for the last two months. Today, I am going to share with you some useful link building strategies which you can use to for search engine optimization campaign.

Below is the list of the strategies:

Part 1: Creation of Content

Interviewing the Personalities of the Industry is Key
Having an interview conducted of an expert of the Industry is a great idea. One of the example is having Matt Cutts (a very popular person online in SEO industry) interviewed. When you do conduct it, I believe that there will be many people will want to link this interview.

Survey
There are so many tools for surveying on the social media. For example, you can have a poll on Linkedin or have a question on Facebook to run your free survey. Then you can have the results of the surveys to post to your blog or make a white paper and attract people to link to the site.

Videos, Photos and Infographics
PR Newswire has done a survey saying that the more multimedia you put in your content, you will have more readers. Be sure to put videos, infographics and photos to have your content enriched.

Giveaways and Competitions
You can also offer things, which are free or have a competition run so that you can attract links from other people.

Part 2: Networking

Comment on Other People’s Blogs
This is my favorite strategy because I can learn, build relationship and build links. When you comment on other people’s blogs, you can learn new information and knowledge from other bloggers for your industry. The most important is you can build a long term relationship with the bloggers.

Being a Guest Blogger
There is yet another way, which is fast to have your website links built if you will be able to contribute content that have quality to other blogs. You can become a guest blogger or have someone invited to be one through Twitter. Twitter is the easiest to become and invite guest bloggers, since most are experts on there and will be more than willing to have their content shared.

Social Networking Sites
Even though social networking sites, e.g Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin have nofollow links but Google does using social signal as one of the factors to rank a website. Make sure you socialize on social networking sites and contribute quality content to attract links.

Forums
Another strategy, which is great to have links attracted, is forums. Many of the owners of the forums know people want to sign up for their forums to build links. Most will not let you place the links in the content or in your signature when you are signed up their forums. Of course, you will have to fulfill requirements. For example, you will have to contribute at least 30 posts or you will have to wait about 30 days. However, you should be careful, not all of forums will have these follow links.

Directories
Next is directories that you can have your sites submitted to, of course before you submit to these directories you will have to be sure that it is the right one to submit to because Google hates link farms.

Social Bookmarking Sites
You can also submit those articles and blog posts to StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg, etc. to have links from the high quality social bookmarking sites.

Part 3: Promotion

Advertising

You can advertise (Pay Per Click) Google, Yahoo, Facebook and with other kinds of sites that will help with getting inbound links.

Submit to Press Release
You can also submit your articles to press release (offline or online). This can help with distributing your articles around the world to attract links and boost your credibility.
