Give before you take is a universal truth. It applies in everything in our lives, especially if you want to be success in your lives, you have to give even more and give first before you can take.

Same goes to internet marketing in Malaysia (should be internet marketing international), you have to give before you take.

For example:
- Give quality content to your searchers on search engines so that they can search you to read your content. By reading your content, you build relationship with them.
- Give them free advice before you can do businesses with them online by using texts, videos, images so that you can position yourselves as experts in your fields to convince your readers.
- Commenting on other people's blogs and forums first for your link building campaigns for your search engine optimization.
- Join conversations, talk and communicate with people to build relationship first before even you can do businesses with them on social networking sites.
- Give quality products and services to your buyers before they help you to spread your them.
- Give something useful before you can get their email addresses to build your targated customers databases.

This is one of the basic things internet marketers have to do to build human based websites.

How many of you know that we can block or hide websites on Google search which are not relevant to what we search for?

Once Google rolled out Panda algorithm, it hurt a lot of websites. Some of my friends' websites dropped from page 1 to page 50, some of their websites actually improved in ranking. Each time Google rolls out new algorithms, a lot of websites will be affected. And Google tells on Google Webmaster Central Blog, Panda was just one of roughly 500 search improvements we expect to roll out to search this year. So what you can do to make sure that each time when Google rolls out new algorithms, your website will not get affected or munimum?

Luckily, Google tells us what they want. In Google Webmaster Central Blog, Amit Singhal (a software engineer at Google Inc.) shows us a guide on building high-quality websites. The guide contains 23 questions which we have to answer.

What will happen to your search engine ranking in Malaysia when your hosting is not stable?

Here are two things will happen:
- Your online reputation will be spoiled. Since people think you are a professional in web designing and internet marketing, your hosting instability will bring up an impression that you don't mange your hosting well.
- Your search engine ranking drops. Since Google practises real time searching, if people able to search your website on Google, when they click on your link on Google and Google brings them to a broken link (which your website is down), Google will drops your search engine ranking.

I have experienced the same thing recently.

I host my website with Shinjiru Technology Sdn Bhd. Recently, their poor service affected my search engine ranking.

My website Human Website was rank 1st Page on Google, when you used keyword "Internet Marketing Consultant Malaysia". There are few hours server down last week, my search engine ranking dropped to 6th page. On 3rd of May, they had a "DISASTER" crash on their hardisk and they sent the hardisk to oversea to retrieve the data (luckily I have backup my file frequently). It took 4 days to recover my website. 

After everything is recovered, when I check my website search engine ranking on Google with the keyword "Internet Marketing Consultant Malaysia", my website doesn't appear on 6th page anymore, not even on  50th page.

The reason I posted this topic is for you to learn from my mistake, choose the right hosting provider to make sure your website is not affected because of poor hosting management.
