Google+ hits 25 million users world wide and users spend more time les than one month accordingly to comScore.

Google+ grew much faster than Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

Google+ users keep spending more time for each weekend.

Google+ believes that in order to achieve Critical Mass, it needs to have 15-20% market penetration.

Anyway, Google+ still have long way to go in order to compete with Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

I just blogged about Google+ from marketing perspective - Social Circle few days before. By looking at the few hilarious videos below, I can confirm that my point is right. Even the videos below are funny but it is true.

Before I tried Google+, I kept asking myself - Why we need join another social networking site while we have already joined a lot of social networking sites and for companies, they are doing very well from the existing social networking sites. Why do we need another while we have strong relationship with our customers, friends, colleague and suppliers on existing social networking sites?

I do hope that Google+ will not last longer so that our company doesn't have to optimize another social networking site. BUT......after I joined Google+ and tried all the functions, I realized there is one very important function which for future social media marketers – STREAM SOCIAL CIRCLE.

 

Recently, I have read two articles from Business Insider, written by Jason Schwartz and Alyson Shontell and I agreed with both of them.

2) The End Of The Social Network Era, The Rise Of The Social Circle Era - Jason Schwartz

Offline, we don't actually build social networks but we build few social circles to form social networks. Each social circle is different from another. For example, you have your personal social circle which shares something very personal. You may have another social circle which shares only your working matters. Each social circle, we communicate, we talk and we share very differently.

Same goes to online. You may have a social circle for your personal matters, one for working matters, one for suppliers and one for customers, etc. Google+ Stream Social Circles do help you in building your social circle. Facebook has the same function but Facebook doesn't make it very obvious.

So, how Google+ Stream Social Circles help you in your marketing? They help your companies even have closer relationship with your customers. You can have "Excellent Customers" stream social circle, "Good Customers" stream social circle and "Average Customers" stream social circle. For each customer's stream social circle, you can develop more specific social media marketing strategy. You use different way to communicate and engage them. Each social circle is highly targeted market. Your marketing success rate will be higher compared to general market. Most of the social networking sites are still too general for marketers, but with Google+, we can build a very high targeted market.
